Fiat Design collaborated with SMEG to create a super-stylish "Fiat 500"-Fridge .. err, want!!

For me as a 'not so normal'-Girly-Girl I never had an attraction for kitchen-related things or even fridges. Sure, the SMEG fridges are always the coolest ones when walking through the electronics shop to the camera or computer areas, but THIS one is really the first one that screams "TAKE ME HOME TO YOU. NOW!" at me. Well, I would, if I could!

This SMEG Fiat 500 was presented on May 30th at the Colette Store in Paris and can be ordered up from June. If you want one - available in white, green and red - you find the E-Mail adress below. But note that the current production time is at around 2 months.

What a stunning Car, the Bugatti 57SC Atlantic from 1938, at the Concorso d'Eleganza 2013 at Villa d'Este. It's from 1938, has 8 cylinders with 3257 cc. The owner of it is nothing less than Mister Ralph Lauren, from the US, himself. It's starting in Class B with the number 24. The coachwork was once done by Jean Bugatti. To fit perfectly to the luxorious environment BMW unveiled the whole outcome of their first collaboration with Pininfarina at the grounds of Villa d'Este during the Concorso d'Eleganza at Lake Como in Italy on Friday evening, the Pininfarina BMW Gran Lusso Coupe.

Pininfarina's task was it to add their distinctive signature to a high-end luxury Car. Typical BMW proportions like a long wheelbase, stretched bonnet and set-back greenhouse were completed by Pininfarinas eye for the special thing.

Roadtrip to IMM 2013 - Day 2

After a sun-rain-snow-rain first Day the second didn't start better: Rain, of course! When we arrived at Lake Garda, after 150 km driving, the rain finally stopped and after our Lunch-Break, when it was my turn again to drive, even the sun came out and Nicole and I opened our MINI Knightsbridge Roof!

A more detailed Review of the Car will follow the next Days, but what I really liked while driving our little MINI - everyone is SO friendly and positive about the Car!
After Lake Garda we switched from small roads to the Autostrada and soo many Truck Drivers gave us signals while driving by (It wasn't because of weird driving, definitely not!) or so so many heads turned around when they overtook us as we were driving chilly with 100 - 130 km/h on the right lane. Normally I'm one of those People always driving on the left lane, if I have a suitable Car, but this time I haven't even missed driving fast, overtaking anyone, making time good etc. The almost 8 hours of driving passed by so quickly that I haven't even time to complaint about anything. We had cassettes (!) with cool Music, sang and danced to them while listening songs like "Move on up" by Curtis Mayfield .. LOUD.

Sometimes I was really sad for the Car because of bumps on the Street. But Knightsbridge was always loyal!

ACTIVE BODY CONTROL (ABC)

Subfunction of the suspension system MAGIC BODY CONTROL. The Mercedes-Benz ABC suspension has four suspension struts with hydraulic cylinders to set the force individually in each suspension strut, thus all but completely eliminating the lifting, rolling and pitching motion of the vehicle body. Various acceleration sensors send information about the current driving situation to the control unit which, in turn, compares this information with the data received from the pressure sensors in the suspension struts and the level sensors on the axle links. Based on the results of this comparison, the system calculates control signals which are then converted into precisely measured oil flows by servohydraulic values at the front and rear axle.

On Wednesday evening Mercedes-Benz reveals their new Flagship, the brandnew 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class in Hamburg, Germany. Not just at any Location, no, at the Airbus A380 Delivery Centre!

Just as the A380 is the world's largest and most advanced passenger aircraft, the new S-Class promisses ".. a previously unknown Dimension of luxury, comfort and efficiency in a limousine and highlights the Safety features of an automobile to an unprecedented level. Thus, it is more than ever synonymous with luxury and innovation in Automotive industry." as Prof. Dr. Thomas Weber, Member of the Board of Daimler AG Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development, says.

More than 100 craftsmen are working since Days to fix all the 35 km of power cables, 400 lights, 96 speakers and to install the 28 metres wirde LED video wall. Everything just for the new S-Class. Besides 750 international guests from Politics to Business Partners and Media there will be also a "International star of soul and R&B". Personally I guess they mean Usher as he's already working for/representing AMG and the Mercedes-Benz CLA. Nevertheless the Hamburg Symphony Orchesta will entertain the guests. (Isn't the Car enough entertainment.. ?)
